Botox Cosmetic Treatments

As an FDA-approved type A Botulinum toxin, Botox® is the most common non-surgical cosmetic treatment performed today. Dr Kuek uses Botox to eliminate frown lines, forehead wrinkles and crow’s feet on faces. Its versatility allows it to be used to lift and shape eyebrows, soften folds between your nose, mouth and neck as well as to open up your eyes for a more youthful appearance.

The wealth of medical research and constant evolution in Botox usage creates new applications for Botox to be used to breathe new life into your skin. Other well-developed uses include face and jaw slimming, calf contouring, reduction of excessive sweating and minimizing body odour by blocking nerve-transmission to the sweat glands in the armpits, face and palms.

Botox can also be used to treat headaches or migraines that are caused by muscle spasm. Botox has been proven to improve and enhance the effect of other treatments such as fillers, IPL and facelifts, and is best used in conjunction with these other treatments.

Face Skin Fillers

Aging, sun damage and gravity effects are just some of the factors that create deep lines, wrinkles, and loss of skin volume. To achieve softer features and rejuvenate the face, Dr Kuek can use fillers to smooth out folds and wrinkles, reshape the face and replace lost volume.

Similar to Botox, fillers are versatile and provide volume for the treatment of lips, lines, wrinkles and facial folds. Deeper, more advanced fillers can be used to fill out lines and wrinkles around the mouth, eyes, nose and foreheads. Enhancing your lips can make your mouth appear fuller and take on a more sensuous form, producing better definition and reducing lipstick bleed.

The exact type of filler chosen will depend on the site of treatment and the degree of correction required.

You should see immediate results that last for approximately 6 to 9 months. Advanced fillers can last for more than 18 months, and a combination of touch-up and alternative treatments also add to the duration of the results.
